In the case of “Eklektisk Samband” it is hard to say, but the result of their first release “turnchest” is really a wonder package of borderless/genreless music!

Initiator Eirik Hegdal has put together a septet of musicians/producers/composers who happily operate in all musical nooks and crannies. Inspiration is neatly picked and borrowed from a wide range of musicians and bands, such as; Kate Bush, Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy, Maria Kannegaard, Altin Gün, Solange, Raymond Scott, Dizu Plaatjies, Milton Babbitt, Carla Bley, Jimmy Giuffre, and most of all; from each other, within this eclectic connection.
