kr 100,00kr 300,00 inc. VAT

This Norwegian grammy nominated album is contemporary folk music, written by jazz musician and composer Eirik Hegdal (know for his many projects with the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra) for two singers; Sofia Jernberg and Unni Løvlid, violinist/fiddler Gjermund Larsen, drummer/ percussionist/mouth harpist Hans Hulbækmo, and Hegdal on soprano-/C Melody saxophone/ clarinet/bass clarinet.
These are strong individual musicians with their roots in traditional music, both from folk music and improvised music. These influences is at the music’s core, but it is stretched in the direction of Norwegian and Swedish folk music.
The music is centered around new urban legends (myths) from the middle of Norway, created from the top of Hegdal’s head.
‘Følk’ is dialect for ‘folk’.
